that's the book i'm reading, its about a poor young boy and his little brother who become interested in the game of golf. With the help of their grandfather who happens to be an incredibly good golfer they both start to be very good themselves. As a child their grandfather entered a local tournament and won multiple times and noticing their potential he signs both of them up for that same tournament. I can connect my life to them because i play golf too and I have played in tournaments. They both enter the tournament and meet some interesting people, some good and some bad and are starting to realize sportsmanship.

This book sounds like the perfect fit for you (especially with spring and golfing right around the corner). You didn't mention in your post who recomemmended the book to you-- how did you find it?
I know you had begun a mountain-climbing book; I am glad that you were able to make the decision to put it aside....sometimes you have to know when it's just not working out.
Must be in the blood. I'm sure the boy's were told many stories from their grandfather about his younger day's of playing in golf tournaments and his drive to win. Sounds like a good book.
